Steering

You have to manouver through zero gravity space using conventional rocket motors. The slightest impulse you give to your ship influences your course. Try to make only small changes, or you will loose control. You don't have brakes in space - a practised pilot turns the ship by exactly 180° with one burst of a steering thruster, followed by a second single burst of the other thruster, stopping rotation, and then decelerate with the main motor. Watch the demo replay to see, how it is done.

Homing Missiles

To program targets for homing missiles, you need to buy battle software (Computer upgrade). With a homing missile ready to launch, hold down the [SHIFT] key to program the target in front of you. While other ships are nearby and homing missiles are active, the computer does not select asteroids for targeting, but you still need a line of sight to the enemy vessel for programming. If the gizmo allways disappears, you probably have standard missiles activated.

Reactor, Shields and Laser

Keep your laser energy at maximum - a shot with a more than 90% pumped laser is most effective. When you upgrade your lasers, they can deliver more hostile energy per time - but think about upgrading your reactor, too: The stronger the beam weapon, the faster it discharges your energy buffer! This also affects your shield reloading speed. When your weapon is fully loaded, all the energy your reactor creates can be used for charging the shields and vice versa.

Upgrading

Your first upgrade should be the Laser Pointer (Extras). Buy it as soon as you can afford it in level 2. With the laser pointer you will save laser energy, which leads to destruction of more asteroids, resulting in significant more income in time limited levels. Also think about upgrading your reactor early. The rest depends on your personal strategy.

Searching the Last Asteroid?

Somtimes you will be wondering, where this last asteroid is. Use the [TAB] key to switch the cockpit display and you will find that asteroid easily.

Other Space Clearance Companies

While moving through the distant areas of our solar system, one should always watch his back. There are pirates after your equipment, probably on the behalf of other space clearance companies. Be prepared for surprises at any time! Buy the "battle software" upgrade and have some homing missiles with you, when entering an unknown area.
